Chesterland, Ohio - Dave Bors is leaving West Geauga after three seasons, and is in line to be Riverside's next football coach.

"That's going to be our recommendation [to the school board on Feb. 23]," Riverside Athletic Director George Bellios said. "I can't say anything else until the board acts."

Bors was a longtime defensive assistant at Chardon until taking the head coaching job at West Geauga in 2007. The Wolverines were 6-4 his first two seasons. Last year, Bors abandoned a pass-oriented offense and West Geauga became one of the few teams in Ohio running the triple-option. West Geauga went 9-2. It lost, 14-7, to unbeaten Chagrin Falls, and lost in the first round of the playoffs to Ashland.

Bors will replace Ryan Wolf, whom Bellios said chose to step down. Wolf was promoted from defensive coordinator in 2008 and his teams were 7-3 and 5-5.
